Geared with ink and brushes, the talented Puerto Rican muralist Alexis Diaz worked his way through this ultra detailed piece. Inhabited mostly by phantasmagorical animals, Alexis Diaz’s captivating murals are characterised by a very detailed technique and line-by-line precision. Diaz’s signature style is the use of tiny black brushstrokes on white to render his creatures, making them look like highly-detailed pen-and-ink drawings, and drawings like these take a long while. The mural you see here took the artist 21 days to do.
This is my interpretation of the mythological history of “Lilith” adapted to the Florida state. Using the tropical color of Miami and another element like the alligator as an animal icon of this area of south of Florida…
