Last year, we introduced you to Stary Olsa, a band from Eastern Europe (Belarus, to be precise) who has a knack for reworking famous rock songs in a Medieval Belarusian folk style. Our original post featured adaptations of classic songs by The Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica and Deep Purple. Above you can watch Stary Olsa play “Another Brick in the Wall” by Pink Floyd on the Belarusian TV-show “Legends Live.” Part of the reason we’re featuring the band again is because Stary Olsa has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the recording of its 12th album,Old Time Rock n Roll, which will bring more metal music back to the Middle Ages. You can watch the video for the campaign below, and make your contribution, however big or small, here. They’ll super appreciate any support you can offer. Enjoy.
